To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of its brand, Chanel released a special commemerative classic flap in 2005 - the Reissue. This reissue was representative of the original flap with a mademoiselle clutch, distress calfskin leather, and aged ruthenium hardware. When they were first released, I yearned for the white one but alas, $1995 was a tad bit out of my budget back then. Three years later in 2008, I got my hands on a beautiful grey one.

I was ecstatic when I acquired this because it fit in my collection perfectly and rounded out my special/rare Chanel flap collection - '05 pink heart chain medium flap and '06 violet caviar east/west.
However after one use, I decided to put this on Bonanzle to see if anyone would bite the bullet. I priced it high ($2899) knowing that people will try to negotiate and I didn't know, especially in this economy, that it would actually sell! SIGH. I had seller's remorse immediately and called my friend practically hyperventilating because I really didn't want to let it go but alas, I shipped it this afternoon and it is no longer mine.

At least I know it is going to someone who really wanted it and hopefully will use it more than I did. Farewell my love. You will be missed.
